Plantar Fasciitis typically causes a stabbing pain in the bottom of your foot near the heel and is caused by inflammation or tears to the long, flat ligament along the bottom of the foot, called the plantar fascia, and also in the Achilles tendon just above the heel.           T here are certain risk factors associated with this condition, most likely occurring for individuals between the ages of 40-60.   Sports Injuries Here at Clairpointe Family Chiropractic, we have many active patients who exercise regularly and play sports like tennis, pickleball, golf, hockey, and running.  Once in a while, a patient will have an injury from their activity and will need an extra hand in recovery. When a sports injury occurs, after the patient ices and rests, we suggest coming in to have the doctors look at the injury from a chiropractic standpoint. The doctors can show you proper conditioning, warm-up, and cool-down techniques for each sport or exercise activity to prevent future injuries. We treat these injuries by showing you proper stretching, strengthening exercises and recommending pharmaceutical-grade supplements.
